About Reading

With more than 40 years of real estate experience, Reading Overstreet has found success in capitalizing on ground-up developments, acquisitions, and dispositions. By bringing value to his clients through real estate management, property marketing, and brokering, Reading has completed hundreds of real estate transactions in 25 states with a value of more than $3.5 billion.

Real estate was not Reading’s initial career choice, even though real estate ran in the family. In 1975, he was working as a banker in Scottsdale, Arizona, when his mother approached him about helping her with some commercial real estate deals. He learned that the only way he could get involved to help her was to get his broker’s license. He did, and he hasn’t looked back since.

Within three years, he found himself developing hotels around the country, and when the economy took a turn, he returned to Scottsdale, where he began developing custom homes, residentially designed garden office buildings and partnering on land development deals. In 1979, Reading was approached by one of the country’s largest REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) to join their team, and by 1980, he found himself moving to Dallas, taking advantage of the central time zone, two great airports, and a tremendous professional real estate community.

Through Reading’s experience and knowledge, love of design, spatial requirements, and understanding of market trends, he has positioned himself as a broker that can assist with any real estate transaction or business deal anywhere in the world. He has an unwavering commitment to his clients and goes above and beyond to find a solution to any problem that may arise.

Reading’s love of real estate comes from his passion for helping others. When he’s not working, you will find him spending time with his family, giving back to those less fortunate, going on mission trips, and studying architecture and art.

His logo says it all: “The Missing Thread to the Fabric of the Deal.”
